Well, that was short lived. Blood tests came back on Monday showing that I either did not ovulate, or ovulated very late. Bummer. So now I have to wait 10 days for a period or start 10 days of prometrium to start the period so we can try again.
It's so discouraging because we do all these things and everything is responding so great, things looked perfect and then...nothing? I don't understand that at all.

I guess that means I will have to get a separate hotel room on the 1st. Just trying to make you smile.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any answers for you. I know that God created your body very special and complex.
I am still praying for you and love you both.
I don't think you should give up quite yet. I have read more than once that you shouldn't put so much stock in P4 numbers. More than one girl has been told she didn't ovulate just to find out she got her BFP. So I still advize watching your OPK's and seeing what those are doing and waiting with a little cautiousely optomistic outlook. Call me propenutally optomistic if you want to....
ReplyDeleteJust in case you don't believe me...
ReplyDeletean In Vitro Fertilization patient with a diagnosis of unexplained infertility discontinued her prescribed progesterone when she noted vaginal bleeding at 4-5 weeks gestation (and assumed that she was not pregnant). Bloodwork documented a progesterone concentration of less than 2.0 ng/ml at 5-6 weeks gestation, she did not return to progesterone supplementation and she delivered a normal fetus at term
Here's another reason to not put too much weight on a P4.
ReplyDeleteRandom serum progesterone concentrations in the luteal phase are pulsatile. Therefore, if you determine a woman’s blood progesterone concentration on three separate occasions during a given day (during the luteal phase) you most likely will obtain 3 significantly different results. This makes interpretation difficult. This was said by Dr. Eric Daiter, MD
I would say that you may be right if it were only the P4 saying that and not my CM also.
ReplyDeleteCM is not a reliable sign of anything. Just wanted to add that there is a girl on SS who is right now getting positives on HPT's and her P4 results were .5 And they are getting darker and darker every day! Use the OPK's and let me know.
